Buy the Ginkgo Pinafore sewing pattern from Madswick. This wrap pinafore dress has a fully lined, dartless bodice with two different neckline options (square and deep-V). The dartless design means it can be worn with either side in front, so you can pick one neckline or both! Other features include large patch pockets, a gathered skirt, and midi length.
Ginkgo can be tied at the sides, in the front, or in the back. The adjustable ties enable you to fit the dress around your body as you wish, and how you tie it will determine the final fit and look. Wear it over your clothes or on its own, adapting it to your personal preference.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.
Suggested fabrics: The designer recommends linen for this pattern, but you could use any light-mid weight woven fabric with a little drape such as cotton, tencel, or viscose or linen/cotton viscose blends. You may also use a mid weight wool or denim, with a lighter weight fabric for lining.
If you opt to use a different fabric for your lining, look for a complementary colour, as it may be visible from the outside.
To use your fabric wisely, you may need to cut your pattern pieces on the cross grain. Keep this in mind when considering fabric with a directional print.
Fabric requirements: This is an estimate. You may need more or less depending on your fabric, print, and width. For sizes 4-15, the skirt panels are cut on the cross grain. For sizes 10-15, the bodice and skirt panels are cut on the cross grain when using fabric that is 44" (112 cm) wide.
44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 4.4 - 7.2 yd (4 - 6.6 m).
52" (132 cm) wide fabric: 3.6 - 6.8 yd (3.3 - 6.3 m).
Sizing: 1 – 15 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
This pattern is drafted for a B/C cup and 5'6" (1.68 m) height.
