Buy the Willow Knicker sewing pattern from Sew Projects. Inspired by a vintage shape, Willow will give that hint of luxury and elegance to your undies drawer. The Willow Knicker features a centre panel to show off your best fabrics. Use a centre front trim to add to the vintage look, or leave it plain for a simply sophisticated style. Almost any rigid or woven fabric can be used for the centre panel so you can really get creative!

Willow has full bum coverage and a standard leg opening. You can choose high waist or hipster style. The high waist comes to your natural waistline whereas the hipster style comes to just above the hip bone.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: 

Side and back: Light to medium weight stretch fabric, jersey, stretch satin, stretch mesh, stretch lace. Approx. 50% stretch.

Centre panel: Rigid/woven cotton, lace, embroidery, silk, satin.

Gusset liner: Cotton jersey.

Fabric requirements: 

Side and back: 150 cm wide fabric: 0.5 – 0.7 m // 120 cm wide fabric: 0.5 – 0.7 m.

Centre panel (any width): 0.4 – 0.6 m.

Gusset liner (any width): 0.2 m.

Sizing: 1 – 9 / UK 6 – 22. Please check the size chart.

Notions: 3 m of lingerie elastic; 1 m of optional centre seam trim.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step instructions with photos; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (15 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet).
