Suggested fabrics: A mid-weight fabric in linen or cotton is recommended. This is a great pattern for using up scraps from your summer makes. Choose different fabrics for each side if you want to make a reversible version.

Fabric requirements:

Visor: 0.4 m x 1 m.

Hat: 0.4 m x 0.7 m of fabric 1 (twice as much if you want both sides in the same fabric) and 0.4 m x 0.7 m of fabric 2.

Sizing: One size.

Notions: 35 cm x 35 cm of stiff interfacing for the brim (stiff enough to stand on its own) // Hat only: 10 cm of 0.5 cm wide elastic.
