Buy the London Dress, Top and Skirt sewing pattern from Selkie Patterns. Selkie Patterns’ debut pattern, London, reflects the designers’ love for the capital and combined tastes for vintage inspiration and clean lines. The London has raglan sleeves, a knee length skirt, a keyhole neckline, loose bodice pleats, gorgeous shaping around the waist and a shaped waistband for the skirt. The blouse version has playful gathers around the waist and makes a versatile, feminine wardrobe staple. Inspired by British fashion of the late 1950s, the London’s clean, simple, flattering shape suits itself to many different fabrics and many different occasions. You can choose to leave the darts unstitched or stitch them fully for a more fitted look. The neck tie is also optional.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50)

Suggested fabrics: For the skirt, we recommend a medium or heavy weight cotton, denim or heavy linen. For the dress, you could use a light or medium weight cotton or bamboo, depending on how much structure you want in the sleeves and skirt. Choose a fabric with some drape for a softer effect. Linen, cotton lawn, lightweight cottons or bamboo will be beautiful for your blouse.

Fabric requirements:

Skirt: 115-150 cm wide fabric: 1.8 m

Blouse: 115 cm wide fabric: 1.9 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 1.4 m

Dress: 115 cm wide fabric: 2.8 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 2 m

Sizing: UK 6 – 20. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Matching thread; 0.5 m interfacing in a similar weight to your fabric; zip: 7-9″ for the skirt, 23″ for the top, 23-25″ for the dress (for the skirt we recommend a regular zip, however for the blouse and dress you could also use an invisible zip; a slightly longer zip for the dress and skirt will help you if you normally have to wriggle into clothes); hook and bar or button for the skirt.

PDF pattern includes: A0 copy shop file; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern; step-by-step, full colour digital instruction booklet.

Add-on: A sleeve pack can be purchased directly from the designer to add 3/4 or full length sleeves to your dress or top.
