Pretty, romantic garment

This seems a popular pattern so I was surprised to be writing the first review. It's easy to cut and good to be reminded so often to baste (tack); a useful but disappearing skill. I chose to add the modesty panel. Another time I would only interface half of it and half the cuff as doubling the pieces made them too thick for the floaty style. The neck facings, which are super thin and more like binding need to be very carefully cut and matched to take the corners into account. It does work! The garment doesn't really need the top button as there is a tie. I left off the bottom one too. The cuffs end up too small to machine sew. Next time I might add 'proper' cuffs with a placket. I did consider the scalloped edging and practised it but wasn't sure about how to manage the corners so left it this time.
