Inspired by the 'everyday tote' – the workhorse of the bag department – the Day Tote is the perfect sized bag for all your needs, whether for groceries, the beach, the gym or work. It has a roomy interior with a flat base and four handy pockets, including a laptop pocket for devices or books. Decorative piping not only adds a pop of colour but helps the bag retain its structure, and the dual handles look stylish while also making the bag easy to carry.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: A sturdy fabric. Suitable fabrics include cotton canvas or waxed cotton with a weight of approx. 300-450 gsm (9-13 oz.).

Lining: A relatively sturdy lining to help give the bag shape. Cotton canvas with a weight of approx. 250-350 gsm (7-10 oz.) is a good option.

Piping: A mid/light weight cotton or linen is recommended to help reduce the bulky seam allowances.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 150 cm wide fabric: 70 cm // 110 cm wide fabric: 90 cm.

Lining: 150 cm wide fabric: 70 cm // 110 cm wide fabric: 70 cm.

Piping: 120 cm x 20 cm.

Sizing: Finished dimensions: 40 cm x 28 cm x 18 cm.

Notions: 100 cm x 180 cm of mid/heavy weight fusible interfacing; 2 m of 3-4 cm wide webbing; 348 cm of 7 mm piping string.
