Suggested fabrics: 

Swimsuit fabric: Lycra with four-way stretch (stretches horizontally and vertically) with 90% – 120% elasticity. The lycra should have at least 10% elastane.

Lining: Polyamide swimsuit lining that stretches in both directions. Alternatively, you can use powernet, which will provide better support than classic swimsuit lining.

Foam cups: If you wish, you can use foam cups for maximum support. Remember to check that your foam cups are suitable for use in an aquatic environment!

Fabric requirements: For fabric without nap or directional print.

140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Lycra, 50 cm (19 5/8″) // Lining, 25 cm (9 7/8″).

Sizing: 32 – 50 (approx. UK 4/6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: 2.5 cm (1″) wide clasp; 20 cm (7 7/8″) of stiff boning; 20 cm (7 7/8″) of channelling; 8 mm (3/8″) wide clear elastic; thread; woolly nylon thread (optional but recommended); stretch jersey or ball-point needle.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (5 pages). This pattern has layers so you can print just the size(s) you need. Does not include an A0 copy shop file.

NOTE: You can print this pattern with or without seam allowances using the layers function in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
