Buy the Stowe Bag sewing pattern from Grainline Studio. Designed by Fringe Supply Co., purveyors of fine knitting supplies, Stowe is the ideal project bag – whatever your project may be! The main compartment is perfect for works-in-progress while the many side pockets organise small tools, patterns and notebooks. It may have been designed with knitting in mind but you’ll find it equally useful for a variety of purposes from travel to everyday!

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics such as denim, linen, twill, and canvas. Fabrics over 9 oz. are not recommended for this pattern because of potential sewing machine difficulty.

Fabric requirements: 

Small bag: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 7/8 yd (0.9 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 7/8 yd (0.9 m).

Large bag: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/4 yd (2.1 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/3 yd (1.3 m).

Sizing: 

Small bag finished measurements: Width 9 1/2″ (24.1 cm) // Depth 5 1/4″ (13.3 cm) // Height (flat) 11″ (27.9 cm) // Handle drop 5 1/4″ (13.3 cm).

Large bag finished measurements: Width 14″ (35.5 cm) // Depth 7 1/2″ (19 cm) // Height (flat) 14 1/2″ (36.8 cm) // Handle drop 10″ (25.4 cm).

Notions: Thread; double fold bias binding (1/4″ – 3/8″ wide), 1 1/4 yd for small bag or 1 2/3 yd for large bag.
