SEW THE TRENDS: SPRING 25: PART 2

We are back for our second installment of sew the trends. We have hit the hightstreet to find you so great stuff to pimp your handmade wardrobe. If you haven't seen part one yet, please go back and watch that first.
The videos goes into everything in more detail and all the patterns are listed below if you'd like a closer look.
Dresses were probably the saddest section this spring. I really struggled to find key looks. Don't get me wrong there were loads of options, but none of them seemed to show a cohesive look. The upside of that is anything goes!
The one feature that did seem to feature was touching, so I've found four fantastic options to choose from.
Now we move onto tops, and the boxy shirt is back again for spring. This style is in each season so I really think it would be a good investment of time to make one.
There are two fab patterns to choose from here. THe jenna shirt is more classic of the two styles.
Closet Core Patterns Jenna Shirt
Bella Loves Patterns Leo Shirt
This simple blouse shape is will be something you reach for time and time again, there were over the head options as well as button up fronts.
If you love the button front the Siversage would be perfect - there is a version without the rufffle. The Estelle is lovely if you are looking for the over the head option.
Silversaga Patterns Amelie Blouse
Coralie Bijasson Estelle Blouse
I love this style fo top, great for is as the fastenings are simple - not buttonhole in sight!
Ther are so many great options to choose from, but these were my favourites.
Fabric Godmother Fleur Dress and Blouse
Puff and Pencil Tie Blouse & Cone Sleeve
Elle Stitch Ginny Top and Dress
Next up we are talking collars... big and beautiful is the way to go this season. I love that there were lots of options to choose from here. Just pick your favourite style and go for it.
Four great options to choose from here..
Puff and Pencil Tie Blouse, Lantern Sleeve & Peggy Collar
Nina Lee Bakerloo Blouse and Dress
This style is back again this summer and has moved on slightly with a longer cut.
We are so lucky that Named have come to our rescue and made a fantastic option for us. The only tweak would be leaving the pockets off and perhaps looking into making the neckline round.
Named Asteri Button-down Dress and Vest
Noe we have trousers.. super wide was the same of game here. Either an elsaticated waist or something more tailored.
Three good options to choose from the Blake and Tardour have a waistband and the Joanne is elasticated at the waist.
Next up the barrel leg trouser, I'm a big fan of this shape and it'll be great for spring.
Thee great options here, I've got a demins a chino and then the Twig I thought would work well for something lighterweight like linen.
Itch to Stitch Belleville Jeans
The Assembly Line Barrel-leg Trousers
I thought this was a great style, high waist, wide leg and choose between full length and crop. For us makers, it means buying one pattern and getting two styles... two for the price of one!
All of these style would work perfectly and can be full length or cropped.
Finally, we move onto skirts. I loved the style with a seam around the hips and was worried I wouldn't be able to find the pattern for this but I've got two options.
The slip skirt is back again for summer... this shape isn't going anywhere so if you were on the fence about making one I'd say it was a good investment.
Theee good options here. The SAti is longer cut and without an elasticated waistband. The Avery is if you wanted a skirt with a little more flair and the Evie is the OG and had to be in there!
Tessuti Fabrics Evie Bias Skirt
Finally we have an elasticated waist skirt. Perfect for anyone after an easy sew and this shape is always going to be comfortable.
Tw fab options here for you the Stine and the Maxi skirt, both have pockets so either is a win from me!
So that is is for this time I really hope you've found something fantastic to sew for spring!
