Edition 22 of Fibre Mood magazine has arrived and it’s a goodie! Packed with 12 patterns and 29 style variations, you’ll find plenty to sew and wear this spring! This issue contains designs for dresses, tops, trousers, a skirt, jumper, bodywarmer and trench coat. We’ve highlighted a few of our favourite patterns for you to peek at…
The Kaya Dress is an absolute wardrobe staple. This fully lined pinafore style has a lovely A-line shape and V-neckline at the front and back. Layer blouses, tops and lightweight layers underneath.
The Gabriela Bodywarmer is an easy-to-make must-have! The seam lines allow you to play with patterns, colour blocking, directional stripes – or patchwork! It looks lovely over a dress or jumper with trousers or a skirt.
The Judy Dress is just as perfect for parties as it is for everyday wear. The puff sleeves and shaped waist seam fall into a gathered skirt that can be hemmed to the length you desire. Prefer to have a more fitted cut? Then make Judy a size (or two) smaller.
The Harper Top is simple yet special. If you’re after a wearable blouse that has some interest, this is a great pattern. We love the interesting gathers that make a subtle statement.
Want to try your hand at making trousers? The Bernie Trousers feature front pleats, chic welt pockets and a pretty ankle-length hem. They also look great sewn full-length.
The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour coded which makes them easier to trace off.
The latest release from indie designer Pattern Scout is set to be a spring fave! TheBrigit Teeoffers a romantic spin on the basic with its plunging square neckline. The partially lined bodice has a clean finish along the neckline, making this little wardrobe staple a simple sew. I want one!!
TheGrainline Studio Town Bagis a great everyday do-it-all project bag, no matter what project you have on the go.It has a drawstring closure and plenty of interior pockets for stashing all your project bits and bobs.
If you’re planning projects to sew for warmer weather, theIn the Folds Rennie Dressis a simple yet special piece. Rennie is a boxy, relaxed-fitting, calf-length dress made for easy dressing. It may look like a fairly simple sew, but don’t be fooled! The Rennie pattern incorporates a range of techniques for a beautifully finished garment inside and out, elevating both your wardrobe and your sewing skills!
