THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 17 NOVEMBER
It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!
If you love sewing trousers (and wearing them), you will enjoy this update, as I have three top-notch patterns to walk you through. There are also some cosy new additions that you can curl up in or with.
Merchant & Mills Juno Culottes: You can't get cooler than a pair of culottes and this pattern is perfection. They feature a fly-front, front pleats, in-seam pockets, and an elasticated back waistband. Wear them casually with trainers for a day time look or with heels and a nice top and jacket for an evening-appropriate outfit.
Chalk and Notch Reya Pants + Shorts: Confident beginners... I have a great trouser pattern for you! This wide-leg, elasticated waist pant is elevated with a front pin tuck detail. High waist styles are popular, but we often get asked for mid-rise style and this pattern gives you both so you can choose! You get have four inseam lengths for the pants and a shorts style for warm weather.
The Maker's Atelier Culottes: Get two totally different culotte styles with one pattern as this design includes a simple flat-front version and a more complex pleated option. The pleats can be fluid and soft, or crisply pressed for a sharper look. Both styles have pockets in the side seams, and the flat front version has optional back pockets. They are easy to style up or down - perfect for the party season!
Tilly and the Buttons Drew Sweatshirt: This pattern gives you the two ends of the sweater spectrum - the plain every day kind and the jazzy option. Let the deep raglan sleeves do the talking and sew it up in a plain fabric or make a sweatshirt full of personality with colour block sleeves.The detailed instructions make this a perfect introduction to sewing with stretch knit fabrics.
Wardrobe by Me Bear Jacket: I had to save a spot to shout out this fab new design that is a good option for the gifting season if you want to sew for a loved one. This versatile workwear-inspired jacket features a front zipper closure, shirt-style collar, shoulder yoke, and two large patch pockets. It has a relaxed fit and is pretty unisex in its styling. Oh, and it's fully lined so it should last the test of time.

Quiltfolk travels America state by state with a team of writers and photojournalists to uncover spectacular from the quilting community. This issue ventures to Washington, capturing the unique blend of old and new, natural and technological, rural and urban.
Itch to Stitch Roseto Robe: If your dressing gown is looking a little tatty or you are planning on sewing one as a gift, you must check out Roseto. Featuring ample ease and dropped shoulders for a comfortable fit, you can choose a knee length or ankle length style. Let's not foregt those practical patch pockets.
