The theme this week was lingerie. All six contestants had to make three garments. The challenges included making a pyjama blouse, upcycling shapewear and lace into a new garment and the made-to-measure project was to make a bustier dress for a model. Take a look at our sewing pattern suggestions below, we've tried to find the exact patterns used but where we haven't been able to we have plenty of suggestions so that you can recreate these looks at home for your handmade wardrobe.

Pattern Challenge 1: Pyjama blouse
The first challenge of the seventh episode was to make a pyjama blouse. The front and back are sewn together along the side and shoulder seams. The collar has piping sewn to the edge before it is sandwiched with another layer and then stitched around the neckline. Piping is also added around the wrists before the cuffs are added. The blouse is hemmed and five buttons and buttonholes are added before it is pressed. Why not try this sewing pattern to recreate this look at home?
Closet Core Patterns - Carolyn Pajamas
Designed for chic lounging, the Carolyn Pajamas are thoughtfully tailored and supremely comfortable. The top features a classic notched collar, curved hem, breast pocket and three sleeve options. For a matching set, choose between a straight legged pant (with or without cuff) or a cuffed short. Both the pants and shorts feature an elasticised waist, pockets and a faux fly. Personalise Carolyn by adding contrasting piping details for an elegant finish.
Sizing: 0 – 20 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements. Available in the online shop: Yes, paper.
Transformation Challenge 2: Upcycling shapewear and lace
In the upcycling challenge contestants had to upcycle shapewear and lace into a completely new garment. Specific patterns weren't used for these tasks as contestants had to create a garment from existing materials in a fixed time so it's a bit tricky for us to make sewing pattern suggestions based on these design ideas.
Made-To-Measure Challenge 3: Bustier dresses
In the last challenge of the seventh episode, all the contestants had to sew a made-to-measure bustier dress to fit a model. Here are our pattern picks for the contestants and where sewing patterns have been self drafted or hacked we have suggested an alternative.

Pascha's vintage gown

Pattern: Ann the Tailor - Rachel Dress.

Lovely listing of patterns—I think Pasha’s winner actually looks more like the Vivienne Blouse Pattern (sans sleeves) by Anna The Tailor with the addition of a full skirt rather than a ruffle. But both patterns are very similar. And she did an amazing job—all of them did!
