The Edit New Sewing Pattern Releases – 17 September

Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

We’re starting September with an exciting new addition to the shop. This designer will make you (and the Fold Line team) want to become a bag maker.

Founded by Ellie Lum, Klum House patterns teaches makers to achieve professional results on a home sewing machine. Ellie has over twenty years of professional bag-making experience, so you are in safe hands. If you want to challenge your sewing skills this September, a bag is a great project to sink your teeth into.
Can’t make your mind up on which style of bag to make? Try the Belmont Pack and Pouch as this clever bag converts from tote to backpack and can be tucked away inside the matching zipper pouch for easy carrying. Genius!
Like to keep your bits & bobs organised? The Woodland Dopp Kit is a boxy zipper pouch that makes the perfect travel companion. It’s a very giftable make!
I am a big fan of bucket bags as I love quick access to my stuff. The Naito is a pocket-filled bucket bag that converts from tote to crossbody sling! It features a cylindrical body with a sturdy, sit-flat base – perfect for travelling.
You can’t get a better bag for lugging all your stuff around than a backpack. The Slabtown is a heavy-duty rolltop backpack with a quick-access zipper, and side pockets for water bottles.

If you had your eye on any of the patterns from the last issue of Fibre Mood, we’ve just added the PDF patterns so you can grab them individually. My picks from this batch of PDFs are the Nousha Bag which is a perfect dupe for the viral Uniqlo bag, the Giti Mobile Phone Bag because, let’s face it, we are always searching for our phone so easy access would be great and the Minu Cap. On the clothing front, I think the Nikka Dress is dreamy and the Augusta Dress is the perfect blend of smart and casual, making it a very versatile piece!

Sizing: UK 6 – 28/30

Going back to basics? This is a great pattern to have in your stash as you can whip up a rainbow assortment of vests to take you through the seasons. This slim-fit tank top with a high neckline and wide binding has a modern, sporty vibe. It looks great on its own or as a layering piece. The pattern includes two length options.

We’ve had a fresh drop of Know Me patterns – so it would be rude not to share them! Created by super sewer Mimi G, Know Me releases designs dreamt up by talented makers from the sewing community, who work with the brand to see them realised! How cool is that?
