Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

We love a clever wrap pattern and Ready to Sew is phenomenal at them! Phen is a balloon leg wrap pant closed with a knot at the waist, wrapping nicely around the hips. Two front darts and four back darts hug your silhouette.

We’ve got a double dose of goodness from Ready to Sew this week, so second in our show and tell is the Pincha Overalls! Pincha features a bow tie at the front, balloon legs, five patch pockets, and front and back darts for extra shaping. That’s a lot of clever details that make it fun to wear and sew.

If you’ve got a spot in your wardrobe for an everyday, all-season dress, I think this is a brilliant option. The Dhurata Davies Martha Dress features a relaxed fit, 3/4 length sleeves, and a round neckline. The pleats and details elevate the simple shape. With no zips, buttons or darts, Martha is a stress-free sewing project, suitable for all skill levels.

If you’re still in the market for a summer dress, the Marsha Style Jane Dress is a speedy make. This short A-line dress features shoulder ties, a bound neckline with a slight curve, and, of course, side seam pockets. It suits a range of bust sizes due to the gathering across the top. I think it would also look lovely with a T-shirt layered underneath.

Speaking of speedy summer projects, I’ve got another one for you! The Juliana Martejevs Abbie Skirt is a beginner-friendly tiered skirt that is perfectly swishy. You can wear it with a sweatshirt when the weather gets cooler to keep this skirt a useful wardrobe staple.

Fancy sewin a bra that fits? The Sew Projects Willow Bra now comes in full bust sizing, specially designed for larger busts. Inspired by vintage bra designs, the Willow features a high cup profile and surrounding arc neckline shape. While it has been modernised to feel as comfy as your everyday bralette, it fits more like a structured bra to give you that desired shape and support. The rigid cups provide support, and the stretch neckline adds comfort and ease. Sew Projects specialise in lingerie, so you are in safe hands with this pattern.

Excellent news, Madalynne has a new free pattern – the Odessa Corset Top + Panty! This corset-inspired top can be worn as lingerie or outerwear – which is very on-trend at the mo. If that floats your boat, it is a great little intro to sewing corsets. The pattern comes with a complimentary mid-rise thong which is perfect for stitching your own sultry set.

Ruth Maddock Makes children’s patterns are designed to provide comfort, style and functionality for children of all ages and sensory needs. All the seams on the sweatpants are worked on the outside so the inside is smooth and comfortable and won’t cause irritation. The optional pockets are also worked entirely on the outside, and there is the option to add stitching lines to the waistband.
