5 out of 5 The Clare Pants from Stylearc

    Sew Dainty

I cannot recommend these trousers highly enough. In my opinion they are the most perfect cropped wide leg trousers which are comfortable and practical as well as knockout gorgeous. I found the width of the trouser leg to be perfect, love the slant pockets which are massive, the sweet little pleats at the front, the tie belt is wonderful and who doesn’t love an elasticated waistband (which is flat at the front).
I cut a straight size 12 with no alterations other than to shorten the length of the leg – which at 5’2″ I always have to do. The instructions are very basic, but as long as you read them very carefully and refer to the diagrams too, they are perfectly adequate. I did get a little muddled with the direction of the front pleats in the instruction wording – not sure if that was me or the instructions, but other than that they were a total pleasure to sew. No fastenings on these either. Love ’em.
