Simple to sew and so comfy!

A review of Waves & Wild Superstar Bra

If you fancy giving bra making a try, this is a really good pattern!

It can be made using just jersey fabric (with the option of using elastic instead of jersey for the band, or adding clear elastic/sew-in cups) so there’s no need to buy lots of extra notions, and it’s fairly simple to sew.

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, with details of how to choose which size to make and a few pointers on possible fitting alterations. I found the bra simple to make and didn’t have any problems at all.

I made the size recommended for my measurements (my high bust is 36″ and full bust is just over 39″, and I made a size L, C cup), and lengthened the straps by 1.5″ (I’m a bit taller than average and usually lengthen patterns), and I’m really pleased with the fit.

I’ve worn the bra a couple of times now, and it’s really comfy. It’s described as a lounge bra but I’ve found that it’s perfectly supportive enough for my not-very-large bust for daily wear.
