Bettine – Tilly and the Buttons

A review of Bettine - Tilly and the Buttons

The Bettine Dress was the first of the Tilly and the Buttons range I purchased. I was drawn to the lovely scoop neckline, ease of fit and endless fabric possibility options. I have to say I was not disappointed. This dress is perfect for summer although could work as a transitional piece into Autumn if made in a thicker fabric with tights and cardigan etc.

Pattern

It has a scoop neckline which doesn’t come up too low (I’m a shortie and made no alterations to the neckline at all), all in one short sleeves with cuffs and optional tabs. An elasticated waist means the fit is simple and you can easily pull this dress on over your head without ruining your hair or smudging your make-up. The skirt has optional big pockets ? is above knee length and tulip shaped so curves nicely over your hips.
