Buy the Caroline Dress sewing pattern from Vikisews. Caroline is a close-fitting dress with a slight flare at the bottom. The fit of the dress is achieved by the bias cut. The front features bust darts and a centre seam. The back features shoulder and waist darts as well as a centre seam. The round neckline has a keyhole opening and a button and loop closure at the back. The dress has long, set-in, close-fitting sleeves that are slightly flared at the bottom. Caroline is above-ankle length.

Suggested fabrics: Satin, dress-weight viscose, stretch crepe, natural silk, artificial silk.
The dress in the cover photo is made of artificial silk. The fabric is medium weight, soft, non-stretch and with good drape. The fibre content is 100% polyester.
Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.
Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.95 - 2.85 m (2 1/8 - 3 1/8 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.85 - 2.75 m (2 - 3 yd).
Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Vikisews patterns are designed for a B/C cup.
The PDF pattern includes 4 height options:
Height 1 = 154 – 160 cm (5’1″ – 5’3″)
Height 2 = 162 – 168 cm (5’4″ – 5’6″)
Height 3 = 170 – 176 cm (5’7″ – 5’9″)
Height 4 = 178 – 184 cm (5’10” – 6′1″)
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5'8") / Bust 84 cm (33 1/8") / Waist 64 cm (25 1/4") / Hips 90 cm (35 3/8"). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Model Yana: Height 174 cm (5'8") / Bust 107 cm (42 1/8") / Waist 87 cm (34 1/4") / Hips 122 cm (48"). For Yana, the designer combined sizes 48 for the waist and 52 for the hips in height 3.
Notions:
– Lightweight woven interfacing, 140 cm (55") wide, 0.15 - 0.2 m (1/8 - 1/4 yd)
