Buy the A-line Midi Skirt sewing pattern from The Assembly Line. An easy sewing project with a modern finish, it has an elasticated waistband and side slant pockets. The pattern comes with several options to choose from: a regular waistband, paper bag waistband with belt loops and a belt, regular straight hemline, rounded hemline, and elasticated hemline.

140-150 cm wide fabric: XS 1.3 m / S 1.3 m / M 1.4 m / L 1.7 m / XL 1.9 m / 2XL 1.9 m / 3XL 1.9 m.

Sizing: XS – L or XL – 3XL (approx. UK 8 – 18 or UK 18/20 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Versatile, stylish and a really quick make

I’ve now made two of these skirts in completely different fabrics. One in a cotton poplin print for summer and another in cord. I’ve got lots of wear out of both of them.
It’s a great pattern. Really clear instructions, comes together really well and quickly.. All all of their patterns have great details that elevate the minimalist design to something really stylish.
Their patterns also have my absolute favourite pockets.
Im making another for winter and the only modification I’ll make will be to lengthen it by an inch .

TNT skirt

I was unconvinced that I needed to spend £21 on an A line skirt, but was convinced to try it by a fellow sewist. She was right. This pattern goes together brilliantly, everything lines up and instructions are very clear. I made a size L and it fits perfectly. I had some cheap linen and I tried to grade up a bit, that one is less successful. So I would say sew to your measurements.
I’ve made 3 of these already this summer and plan several for autumn winter in wool and twill.
I cannot recommend this pattern highly enough.
