Buy the Baby/Child Mini Cardamom Quilt Jacket sewing pattern from Sew Bake Make. This jacket is for the kids who tag along to the thrift store – and the grown-ups who can't help imagining what a thrifted quilt could become next. It's designed to be a miniature companion to the adult version.

Designed for quilted fabrics (thrifted or handmade) and fully reversible, this jacket features a cosy stand collar to keep little necks warm, oversized pockets for cold hands (and very important treasures), and an intentionally roomy fit that leaves space for layers underneath. Think chunky sweaters and sweatshirts, and lots of room to grow. The pattern includes two views: View A has an open front, while View B has reversible snap closures for extra warmth and versatility.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern was designed for lightweight thrifted quilts or quilted fabrics. If you want to quilt your own, the designer suggests lightweight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, cotton voile, or lightweight linen and low loft wadding/batting.

Fabric requirements: If quilting your own fabric, you will need these amounts for main, lining and wadding/batting. If using directional fabric, you may need more.

45" (1.15 m) wide fabric: 3/4 - 1 yd (0.7 - 1 m).

54" (1.4 m) wide fabric: 3/4 - 1 yd (0.7 - 1 m).

Sizing: 12 months – 7 years. Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 1/2" double fold bias binding (2"/5 cm wide); 1/2" (12 mm) long prong snaps, five for 12-18 months, six for 2-6 years, seven for 7 years.
