Great bag again

I really like Noodelhead patterns as they are very clear to follow plus have a great sew along video too.

Had some waterproof canvas over from making another bag so had a go at the Oxbow small tote.  I used fat quarters I had over for the linings, I had to join some seams but being inside and inside the front pocket it does not show at all.  A great way of using up scraps as could even make a colourful patchwork for the inside lining.  It is well worth the time following the instructions for the base using a very stiff backing - I doubled up on mine - as it does give structure to the finished bag.  I also bought some lightweight foam interlining to go between outer fabric and lining but in the end did not use it as thought too stiff so used iron on vilene for lining.  In reality I could have done with something with more structure to hold the bag but that is just a personal opinion.  The quilted version would be very nice too.  It ended up looking great but a bit smaller than I thought it would be.
