Buy the M8466 Vintage 1960's Slip Dress and Sheer Overdress sewing pattern from McCalls. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Vintage McCall's 1960's slip dress and sheer overdress sewing pattern. Two section dart fitted slip dress and sheer overdress with set-in, bell sleeves. Dress has left side zipper and shoulder straps. Overdress has center back zipper and neck bound with bias self-fabric except when lace is used. Sleeves may be bound with bias self-fabric or lace banding or ribbon applied on lower edges of sleeves and dress. When lace is used the neck, sleeves and lower edge of dress are faced with bias tulle. Authentic vintage reproduction includes additional sizes and cutting layouts.

View B,C,E Overdress: Chiffon, dotted swiss, organdy, organza, point-D esprit, printed or plain synthetic sheers, voile. View D Overdress: Lace.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: K5 (8-10-12-14-16) Y5 (18-20-22-24-26) which is approx. UK sizes K5 (6-12), Y5 (14-22/24) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. View A,B,C,D,E: Slip Dress: 14" (36cm) zipper, seam binding, one hook and eye. View B,C,D,E Overdress: 18" (46cm) zipper, one hook and eye. Also for View B Overdress: 9 3/8 yds. (8.6m) of 1 1/2" (4cm) ribbon. View C Overdress: 3 5/8 yds.(3.4m) of 2 1/2" (6cm) lace banding.
