The Tipa Dungarees have a relaxed fit that is perfect for layering and shaped hips with front and back darts. Options include front and back hip patch pockets, a front bib pocket, shorts or trousers length, and turned up cuffs for the shorts.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Light to medium weight cotton, chambray, linen, etc. Or medium to heavy weight denim, drill, twill, etc.

Lining: Light to medium weight woven fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Trousers, 1.5 – 2.75 m (1 5/8 – 3 yd) // Shorts, 1.25 – 2.25 m (1 3/8 – 2 1/2 yd).

Lining: 75 cm (1 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 24. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Small amount of interfacing; two medium buttons, approx. 2.5 cm (1″ ) wide, or alternatives like snaps, velcro, dungaree fixings; invisible zipper, 25 cm (9 7/8″) for sizes 6-14 or 30 cm (12″) for sizes 16-24. You may find you don’t need a zipper with the ease included.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions with full colour photos; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (46 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can choose which size(s) to print.
