Buy the Front Pleat Shirt sewing pattern from The Assembly Line. This shirt has a cropped boxy shape, two angled front pleats, a V-shaped back pleat, and short sleeves that can be rolled up. The pattern includes extension pieces to both lengthen the shirt and sew it with a hidden button placket.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight fabric. The white shirt is sewn in a crisp cotton poplin, and the dark blue shirt is sewn in a polyester mix.

Fabric requirements: 

110-120 cm wide fabric: XS 2.2 m / S 2.2 m / M 2.3 m / L 2.3 m.

140-150 cm wide fabric: XS 1.9 m / S 1.9 m / M 1.9 m / L 1.9 m / XL 2.0 m / 2XL 2.0 m / 3XL 2.0 m.

Sizing: XS – L or XL – 3XL (approx. UK 8 – 18 or UK 18/20 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing, 60 cm for XS-L or 70 cm for XL-3XL; buttons, 10 mm diameter, 6 for XS-L or 7 for XL-3XL.
