Buy the 1211 child/teen dress sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. These decorative dresses for children and girls can be made in two length and features a variety of fabric and trim options so you can create the perfect dress for any occasion.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:
– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50)
Suggested fabrics: Calico, cotton types, damask, linen types, pique, poplin, sateen, satin, taffeta. Not suitable for sleepwear. B sleeves and overskirt in eyelet. D collar, sleeves and lower band overlay in lace.
Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.
Sizing: HH (3-4-5-6) K5 (7-8-10-12-14) Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Thread. One 14" zipper for sizes 3 to 6, one 18" zipper for sizes 7 to 14. A: three appliques. C,D,E: one pkg of piping (opt.).

I made this for my daughter as a christmas dress and it turned out beautifully. I went for the bigger size because she was on the edge of the two so I had to do a bit of sizing down on the smallest size to fit her properly but it all came together easily and I love how well the design works for trim and frills and has loads of options. I expect to get plenty more use from the pattern as she gets bigger. I also made a tulle petticoat to go under it and my daughter said she felt like a princess, so I think that's a thumbs up from her!
