Buy the River Dress and Top sewing pattern from Megan Nielsen. River is a reversible raglan dress or top that can be made in woven or knit fabrics. The pattern features a loose fit and optional pockets and waist tie. It can be worn with the V neck or the round neck side at the front.

Version 1 is a reversible knit dress. Version 2 is a reversible woven dress with pockets and fabric belt. Version 3 is a reversible knit top in a modern crop length. Version 4 is a reversible woven blouse in a modern crop length.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern can be made up in a variety of fabrics to different effect. Woven fabrics ideal for Versions 2 and 4 include light to medium weight dress or shirting fabrics such as cotton, wool, linen, denim, chambray, silk, rayon, crepe, etc. Knit fabrics with little stretch ideal for Versions 1 and 3 include stable knits such as ponte, scuba, neoprene or double knit. Light to medium weight knit fabrics may be used, but will result in a looser, drapier garment.

Fabric requirements: Additional fabric may be required to match patterned fabric.

Version 1: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.5 m (1 5/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.6 m (2 7/8 yd).

Version 2: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 2.1 – 2.2 m (2 1/4 – 2 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.6 m (2 7/8 yd).

Versions 3 and 4: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.1 m (1 1/4 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 1.8 m (2 yd).

Sizing: XS – XL (approx. UK 8 – 16). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
