Buy the Cleo Skirt sewing pattern from Made by Rae. This gathered skirt features a flat-front waistband with elastic in the back for a comfortable fit. Two views are included: a knee-length version with cutout pockets and a contrasting hem band (View A), and a midi-length version with in-seam pockets (View B). Cleo’s versatile design works with many different kinds of fabrics. Make it with cotton for an everyday staple, or dress it up with silk for a fancy party skirt!

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as lawn, voile, double gauze, poplin, shirting, rayon challis, sateen, silk, quilting cotton, linen, or cotton-linen blends.
Fabric requirements: Yardage is calculated for fabrics with non-directional prints. Extra fabric may be required for nap, one-way designs, border prints, or design matching.
44″ (1.1 m) wide fabric: View A Main, 1.75 – 2 yd (1.5 – 1.8 m) // View A Contrast, 0.75 – 1.75 yd (0.5 – 1.4 m) // View B, 2.25 – 3 yd (2.1 – 2.8 m).
54″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: View A Main, 1.75 yd (1.5 – 1.6 m) // View A Contrast, 0.75 yd (0.5 m) // View B, 2.25 – 2.5 yd (2.1 – 2.2 m).
Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 8 – 42, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Less than 1 yd of 1.25″ wide elastic; 1/4 yd of lightweight fusible interfacing.
