Buy the Rio Ringer T-shirt and Dress sewing pattern from True Bias. The Rio is a ringer style T-shirt and casual dress. View A is a fitted (sizes 0 - 18) or semi-fitted (sizes 14 - 30) top that hits around the hip. View B is a semi-fitted dress ending just above the knee. Both views have contrasting ribbing around the crew neckline and short sleeves for a slightly vintage look.

A matching children's version is available here.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 30 block has a slightly more curvy set of dimensions than the 0 – 18 block. The 14 – 30 block has a D instead of a C cup (meaning a 4″ rather than a 3″ difference between your full and high bust) and has a 1″ larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5’5″.

Notions: Coordinating thread; stretch sewing machine needle.

Rio Ringer - True Bias

I made three t-shirts in size 16 (from the lower size range). I used three fabrics. The third t-shirt is made from scraps. I love the possibilities to mix and match fabrics.

I followed sew-along on True Bias' blog and the sewing was smooth. The only problem was with the neckband. Kelli recommends one method for sewing machines and one for overlockers. I find the first sewing machine method more complicated. So I would use the second method for both machines.

The fit is not perfect. I would prefer wider shoulders and a bit more ease.
