THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 8 FEBRUARY

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Sewing Therapy was founded by the popular maker and YouTuber, Sara K. The versatile and beginner-friendly sewing patterns have been created with simplicity and creativity in mind.

There are so many ways you can style each pattern, and they have been designed to complement each other, allowing you to create mini capsule wardrobes.

Sewing Therapy Tie Dress

The Tie Dress epitomises versatility and style. The ties at the waist allow you to choose between a snug fit or a relaxed one, and they can be fastened at the front and back or at the sides for a personalised look. It's topping the bestsellers list already!

Sewing Therapy Roma Top and Dress

Roma is a romantic oversized blouse and dress that blends vintage elegance with modern versatility. I am obsessed with that sailor-style collar.

Sewing Therapy Hanbok Top and Jacket

Traditional hanbok elegance meets modern proportions and ease of wear. This design offers a comfortably oversized wrap silhouette that works beautifully as both a top and a light jacket.

Sewing Therapy Hanbok Wrap Skirt

This reversible pleated wrap skirt reimagines the timeless elegance of the traditional hanbok in a modern, wearable design.

Sewing Therapy Rectangle Top

While simple rectangles are the building blocks of this pattern, once constructed, the results are anything but simple. The designer has put together three views, but you can mix and match all the elements to create your own version!

Fabric Godmother Carnation Blouse

It's not often a pattern hits the bestseller list before I get a chance to tell you about it, but this phenomenon has occurred! The Carnation Blouse has been a big hit already, and I suspect this Sézane-inspired blouse will be on many makers' spring sewing lists. Frills are the name of the game. Choose to add them to the narrow collar, short sleeves or button placket (I'd opt for full-on frills)!

JULIANA MARTEJEVS Basic Jeans

Take your sewing skills to another level by making the most useful garment in your wardrobe - jeans. These jeans with a high waist and straight leg are a true wardrobe staple.

Petits D'om Youpi Bodysuit

This bodysuit pattern includes two versions: a side snap bodysuit with panels that cross over in front, and an envelope neck bodysuit, which is pulled over the head. The side snap bodysuit is designed for babies up to 6 months old, while the envelope neck bodysuit is suitable for babies and toddlers 3 to 36 months old. Each version has short and long sleeve options.

Merchant & Mills Petite Pomegranate Lampshade Cover

A lampshade cover echoing childhood memories of 70s décor. The domed pomegranate shape is a great vehicle for lightweight handloom cloth, and delicate details like the drawstrings and ruffle make it fresh and current for any handmade interior.

I hope you enjoyed that edit of new arrivals. I'll see you next week for another update!
