It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Fibre Mood edition 27 has touched down with plenty of options to refresh your spring wardrobe. This bumper special edition has a focus on wardrobe building blocks that are everyday essentials so it’s a pretty useful buy.

This issue features 15 patterns to sew everyday essentials, such as tanks, tees, a turtleneck and bodysuit, as well as patterns for dresses, trousers, a shirt, blazer, cardigan and cape. The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour-coded which makes them easier to trace off.

The Closet Core Patterns Jenna Shirt & Shirtdress pattern is probably the most perfect iteration I have seen – it’s already iconic.⁠ Features include; oversized menswear-inspired styling⁠, drop shoulder⁠, a deep back yoke⁠, a traditional shirt collar and collar stand⁠ and a long sleeve with a tower placket and cuff⁠. And you have a great dress option. What’s not to love?
The Merchant & Mills Ludlow Top is a unisex artistic pullover smock top with integrated pockets⁠. It is perfect for artists, makers and dog walkers.
A new issue of Quiltfolk has just touched down. Stuffed full of amazing articles and interviews with makers. This time, the team travel to New Jersey to interview quilt makers about their craft, life stories and share their sewing spaces. It’s an inspiring read.
