Helloooooo my pretty! If you’ve got a spot for a spring jacket on your sewing list, this is a brilliant choice. The mid-weight Sylvan Jacket is the ultimate chore coat/grandpa cardigan mashup with academia vibes, featuring 12 mix-and-match pocket options. If you’ve ever wanted that perfectly customised jacket that has just the right combination of pockets, or you’ve been wanting to try some new pocket-making skills, this is the jacket for you! It’s a YES from me!

If you’re looking ahead to warmer days (oh, those warmer days…) or are in your summer season right now, this pretty sundress is a great sew. The Tessuti Fabrics Ophelia Dress is fitted above the bust with bust darts and a wide neckband and shoulder straps, subtly shaped at the waist, and gently flared to the midi-length hem. Topstitching highlights the button-through front, stitched-down in-seam pockets, centre back seam, and wide hem.

Hooded scarves are HOT right now… literally. I have spotted loads of knitted versions and have been wondering if a sewing pattern would touch down – and Merchant & Mills has delivered. Enter Audrey. Chicer than I could have hoped for and expertly designed. Not a scarf but more than a hood, Audrey is a warm layer over a coat or a pop of colour over a dress. Make it with contrast or self-lining.

I do love a good sleeve. I do love a jacket. Put this combo together and you have a winning (and dreamy) pattern. The Puff and Pencil Luna Vest and the Kite Sleeve deliver voluminous sleeves on a chic, polished base. It has an oversized fit and can be made with or without sleeves and it closes with snap fastenings. I am in love.

Run… don’t walk… 🫢 a box of the hottest tape in town has arrived. The Kylie and the Machine Fabric ID Tape is here for all your stash-organising needs! You’ll never wonder ‘Have I already prewashed this?’ or ‘What fibre is this fabric?’ ever again… This smooth adhesive tape is suitable for all fabric materials, and each roll has approximately 250 labels – that should take care of your pile.
