If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

Tauko Magazine issue No.8 has arrived and its subject matter is very apt for this time of year. The ‘Travel’ issue will inspire you to create your own travel wardrobe and find a responsible way of adventuring around the world! A total of nine different designs with numerous variations suitable for travelling in different seasons in UK sizes 6-32 are included in this issue. The dresses, tops, trousers, an anorak and skirt form the basis of a self-made travel wardrobe. We really love the bag included, it’s a great pattern if you want to dive into sewing your own bags.

Do you have space on your sewing list for a simple and speedy sew? The Sew Love Patterns Riley Top is great for beginner sewers and experienced dressmakers alike! The top has a clean and simple style with a straight neckline and a boxy fit that finishes just above the hip. The back gathers into elastic which makes a simple technique look harder than it is and gives a lovely airy feel for summer.

If you need to sew something practical for outdoorsy work like gardening, this thoughtful pattern has been designed to withstand your hard efforts. The Thread Theory Morden Work Pants feature roomy legs, knee darts, close-fitting gusset, and raised centre back allow for an extreme range of movement – I’m not sure I’ve ever written that phrase before! They can be sewn with a myriad of useful pockets and also include the option to add a hammer loop, reinforced knees, and a reinforced hem. The instructions helpfully include many tips for fitting and working with heavier-weight materials.
Do we have any cyclists in the house?! If you want to have a stab at sewing your own cycling ensemble, you are in very safe hands with Fehr Trade who specialises in active wear. The Triumph Suit has no side seams and shifted shoulder seams mean you’ll look great from all angles. Princess seams in the front and back curve with your body, and a banded shorts hem stays in place while you race. A zippered, floating front makes transition comfort breaks quick and easy. Four back pockets and two easy access side pockets mean all your supplies are close at hand.
If you snapped up the Santorini Top a few weeks ago, Itch to Stitch has just released the perfect coordinating pattern to compliment your top. The Icaria Pants are light, breezy and sit at the natural waist and feature wide legs with a relaxed fit. The pull-on elastic waist ensures complete comfort, while the front slanted pockets add functionality and a touch of modern flair. Why not sew the pair in one fabric to create a cool and very on-trend co-ord set?
We’ve got TWO fab Sew Over It patterns to share with you this week, first up is a very useful pattern that is great for confident beginners, so it is a pretty easy sewing project. The Jemima Jumpsuit and Dress feature stunning mirrored pleats on the front bodice and trousers/skirt. With no tricky closures, Jemima is shaped with narrow elastic at the back waist only, so you can easily get it on and off whilst keeping the gorgeous pleats flat at the front. The neckline and armholes are finished neatly with an all-in-one facing so it will look just as lovely on the inside.
Inspired by effortless French style, the Josephine Blouse is a floaty wrap top with long cuffed sleeves and a beautiful optional scallop detail around the neckline. Josephine features a pretty side tie on the outside and an elastic loop and button on the inside to keep everything in place. The sleeve cuff opening is bound, and the cuffs are gently curved to mirror the scallops. It’s just a lovely pattern.
