The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases – 18th September 2022
Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

We are really excited to share TWO brand new designs from Named – both are packed with really interesting details that you have to take a closer look at! You can buy both variations of Hali or Syli together, or choose just one if you only wanted to make one (e.g. the Hali Jumpsuit PDF).

The HALI Wrap Dress and Jumpsuit feature:
- A semi-fitted wrap bodice with a front V-neck and back yoke, wrap tie closure and handy side pockets
- The dress comes with a voluminous, ankle-length circle skirt and 3/4 sleeves with gathered sleeve openings
- The midi-length jumpsuit has an interesting construction that is a hybrid of a dress and a jumpsuit
The SYLI Dress and Blouse feature:
- A gathered bodice, a shallow tuck across the chest, and a hemline that dips slightly longer in back
- The neckline, finished with binding, has a back vent secured by ties
- The calf-length dress has two deep tucks around the hemline of both the skirt and sleeves as well as in-seam side pockets

Feminine, comfy and stylish, The Patterns Room Clio is a dress you’ll love to wear. It has no closures, so you can throw it on and go! Clio features:
- A loose fit
- Deep V neckline
- Gathered hem panel
- Gathers at the centre front bust seam and the centre back waist seam
- A choice of long A-line sleeves or a sleeveless version and sew it up all year round!

BROWSE THE PATTERNS ROOM
If you’re starting to think about sewing pieces for cooler weather, the new Forget-Me-Not Patterns Kirsi Cardigan is a great one to add to your sewing queue. Kirsi is a refined take on the casual cardigan, blending tailored lines with a draped front opening. The front design line curves around the body and through the back waist, complementing the round collar and flared peplum. It’s a really interesting shape – not just your average cardigan!
There are two lengths to choose from: a longer length ending at mid-thigh, or a shorter peplum length that ends above the hip. Style the collar open for a waterfall front, or create optional closures for a cosy finish around the neck. You can also cinch the waist with the tie belt.
Mid-weight knit fabric and simple sewing techniques make Kirsi a great project for sewists new to knits. And yet, the curved lines and variety of finishing options will keep it interesting for sewists of all levels!
