What is this challenge all about?

To celebrate National Sewing Month Black Makers Matters have created a new sewing challenge, which is open to everyone. Use the daily challenges as inspiration for your photos.

How to I take part in this sewing challenge?

Tag #BMMSewtember in your posts for your chance to be shared in their stories and to win a prize using the daily challenges as prompts! You can enter as many times as you would like.

What is this challenge all about?

Hannah and Rosie from The New Craft House share daily prompts to inspire you to think about and share elements of your sustainable handmade wardrobe.

How to I take part in this sewing challenge?

There is no pressure to share everyday, share images on Instagram of the prompts that interest you. The prize is a Pfaff Hobbylock 2.0 sewing machine at the end of the month for the person who has inspired Hannah and Rosie the most!

What is this challenge all about?

Hosted by vintage fans Marie @stitchodyssey and Kerry @kestrelmakes, #sewvintageseptember is a sewing challenge to celebrate all things vintage sewing, open to all.

How to I take part in this fashion challenge?

Share your favourite vintage outfit in September and then on the 26th September there will be a virtual outfit share to show the amazing outfits we’ve all made. Any pattern before 1990s is eligible (independent and commercial pattern companies).

#LETSSEWFALL2020

What is this challenge all about?

We love this challenge by Zaji-Kali @zajikalimakes! It sounds pretty easy going, so it’s perfect if you were planning on making a autumn/fall outfit anyway. Sew your favourite Autumn garment and share it with the sewing community using the hashtag #LetsSewFall2020.

How to I take part in this sewing challenge?

Start sewing after the September 1st, 2020 and submit your entries by 1st November 2020 to qualify. Make a garment for babies, children or adults using any sewing patterns and fabrics. You can enter as many times as you want to. There are three prizes to be won!

What is this challenge all about?

Oxfam are running a challenge throughout September challenging fashion followers to pledge to only shop second hand for 30 days or more. We’ve seen lots of you pledge to join this challenge throughout September.
