Men’s Jedediah Pants

Thread Theory

Buy the Men’s Jedediah Pants sewing pattern from Thread Theory. These chino-style trousers feature a slim, casual fit, back yoke and stylish slash front pockets. There are two length options – knee length shorts with rolled cuffs and full length trousers. They will wear well in a denim, corduroy or twill with the extra durability of flat fell seams. They could also be made in a lighter cotton or linen for summer. The design includes top-stitched belt loops, a fly (with detailed, illustrated sewing instructions) and back patch pockets with customisable decorative stitching.

Suggested fabrics: For pants, trouser weight wovens, such as twill, corduroy, wool blends and gabardine. For shorts, similar fabrics as pants, but would also be great for summer in linens or lighter weight cottons.

This is just, completely, a great pattern. The styling is great, the instructions are great (the designer from Thread Theory has an adorable blog wherein, despite her clear humility, shows that she is a complete BOSS at everything she does) and the final project is just amazing. I made shorts out of a denim twill for my slim son in law – I actually cut the pattern from the smallest size (30) down to a 28 and it worked great. Now I’m just waiting for the navy chino to make the long pants. Some of the touches and recommendations are FAB – like the fell seams, a cute idea for making bias tape (actually a hyperlink to Collete), and just, can’t say enough good about Thread Theory.
