Itch to Stitch

Buy the Envigado Vest sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. You don’t have to love the outdoors to appreciate this outdoor vest. The Envigado Vest keeps you a little warmer on blustery days while looking on-trend–a creative layering piece for all your outdoor adventures and urban explorations. The Envigado Vest has front and back princess seams that contour over your figure and give you a great fit. Other features include ample front pockets with buttoned flaps, waist drawstrings for shaping and an optional hood with drawstring. There are options for A, B, C, D and DD cups.

Suggested fabrics: Use lightweight to medium weight woven fabric. Twill, broadcloth, chambray, taslan nylon and linen are great choices. Lining: use lightweight, stable woven fabric, such as cotton. The bodice is not lined, but the lining is needed for the pockets, pocket flaps, hood and armhole.

Fabric requirements: 135 cm (54”) wide fabric: vest without hood, 1.4 – 1.8 m (1-5/8 – 2 yards); vest with hood, 1.8 – 2.1 m (2 – 2-1/4 yards) // lining, 115 cm (44”) wide: vest without hood, 0.5 m (1/2 – 5/8 yard); vest with hood, 0.5 – 0.6 m (1/2 – 3/4 yard).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Lightweight to medium weight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing (if using taslan nylon as primary fabric, be sure to use interfacing that fuses at low temperature); ten 1.25 cm (1/2”) no-sew snap fasteners with corresponding tool for installation; a separating zipper for jackets, 66 – 74 cm (26” – 29”) depending on your size/cup size (longer zipper can be shortened); 1 cm (3/8”) wide drawstring cord or ribbon as long as your waist, plus 50 cm (20”); for optional hood: 115 cm (45”) long, 1 cm (3/8”) wide drawstring cord or ribbon.
