Lovely shape - requires some adjustment

I like the shape and design of this pattern. It took me longer than expected but I have the hang of it now. If you are a little bit curvy, you'll probably have to make some adjustments. I found the fit was a little off in certain areas. The bust and neckline were a bit tight while the rest was roomy. I appreciate that this is the style but if you want to ensure ease of movement - you may want to to consider increasing the arm hole size and scaling up the bust appropriately . Love the tulip back - breezy and fun for summer.

The back is the best part!

There's a lot going on with this deceptively simple cami.  My favorite feature is the overlapping back, an unexpected surprise given the plain front.   I cut out size 4 for the bust and graded to size 6 for the waist.  As a small-busted gal, I appreciate the A cup option as most patterns start at B.

Sewing spaghetti straps and finishing with a narrow hem were new techniques to me, but the instructions were very easy to follow.  This is one of my few sewing makes where nothing went wrong!  Read my full review at my blog Trevor Loves Mommy.

Crystal Cove Cami

I was so pleased to find this cami pattern as I really don’t like the eternally popular Ogden Cami from True Bias (unpopular opinion I know!), it just really doesn’t suit me as it has zero shaping.  But the Crystal Cove Cami is completely different - lovely shaping, whilst still loose enough to be very comfortable in hot weather, and with a gorgeous cross-over detail in the back, making it really feminine and pretty.   I used just 0.8m of this pretty Swiss dot fabric for this make, I cut a size 10 in a B cup.  I really like that Itch to Stitch offers different cup sizes in her patterns as it lessens the need for FBAs/SBAs.   A quick and satisfying make.
