I love this skirt! The pattern is excellent and a simple make. I think the pleats at the front are flattering while the elastic at the back makes it an easy fit. The only difference I made was to add length to the skirt.

This skirt is super easy to sew. It features: pleats at front; elasticated back waistband, lovely deep pockets and button up front. (I hasten to add that I only put button holes for the first two buttons, the rest are just sewn through the fabric!

This dress sews up ‘true to size’ and because it’s a simple shape, I just cut out the bigger size, rather than add the 1cm seam allowance. (Although make sure you do add it to the waistband, which I forgot!)

A great skirt that could would be great with a bodice added too.

I added the band at the bottom and there is more detail on my blog http://ruthsews.com if you need more info on measurements.
