York Pinafore PDF review

A review of Helen's Closet York Pinafore

I have had my eye on the York for absolutely ages but didn’t get around to actually making it until last weekend. It was the perfect project to take to the Sewing Weekender with me: quick to make, small and very few pieces and basically no fitting necessary. Finishing the neckline and armholes with bias binding is what took the longest but I really enjoy the process.
My hips are a size 10 but I decided to go down to an 8 and that was perfect. The top half is a size 6 though, graded out at the bottom of the armholes/waist. The fit is really good.
Can I take a moment to appreciate the size of these pockets?! They’re AMAZING! So so big and wonderful.
I made the short version, with a dipped neck and patch pockets but I want to make another with the crew neck and kangaroo pocket as well. Let’s face it, I live in pinafores in the winter so there’s no way that I won’t be making another soon.
