A medium weight fabric is recommended for the button front (Views A and B) and a light weight woven fabric is recommended for the elastic waist (View C). Rayon challis, rayon crepe, rayon voile, cotton lawn, cotton voile, linen, denim, flannel.
Fabric requirements: Minimum fabric required is listed. If you think you will need more for shrinkage, directional print, pattern matching or print repeat, please purchase accordingly.
View A (button front midi): 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2 1/4 yd (1.8 - 2.1 m).
View B (button front mini): 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yd (1.1 - 1.4 m).
View C (elastic waist midi): 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2 1/4 yd (1.8 - 2.1 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 30 (approx. UK 8 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Use the waist and hip measurements to determine your size. If sewing View A or B and your measurements fall between sizes, size up and adjust the fit as needed. If sewing View C, the waist can be adjusted with elastic and it’s recommended to choose a size based on your hips. It is not recommended to blend to a smaller waist size when sewing View C, as the skirt needs to pull over the hips.
Notions: 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) of tricot fusible interfacing // Views A and B: six or seven 1" - 1 1/4" (25 - 32 mm) buttons for the front // View C: 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) of 1 1/2" (4 cm) wide elastic for the waist.
PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (81 pages); US copy shop pattern (36″ x 160″); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for Views A and B, 2 sheets for View C) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: Yes.
