Simplicity Pyjamas 1563

A review of Simplicity Unisex Nightwear S1563

Review is only for the PJ bottoms.

Simple construction, easy to make, but I’m not entirely happy with the result. Not sure if it was me or the pattern.
Main issues :
– The crotch to waist seems very long (too long).
– The waistband seem too narrow to me for what I would normally go for in a PJ bottom especially since ->
– The buttonhole marking seems far too high and if you did make it with the elastic recommended then the faux ribbon tie would possibly end up on the inside or just too high for where I was expecting.

I did cheat on the instructions and used the button holes as the opening for the elastic to be threaded through to miss out the step of not stitching the place between the dots and then sewing up later. (lazy sewing)

I have since unpicked them entirely and place to re=make the side seams to add in pockets, also to lower and widen/thicken the waistband, possibly to add fixed elastic to the back and tie at the front sections.
