I absolutely love this jacket. Merchant and Mills patterns are like beautifully designed jigsaws that slot together perfectly and I learnt so much in the process.
The fabric is also M & M, and is one of their medium weight cotton canvases (called Eucalyptus). I was a little daunted by it when it arrived but it sewed brilliantly and made my topstitching look positively professional (a first).
And my husband loves it – which is the best bit of all.
