Rosa shirt and shirt dress

I think this came quite close to the perfect woman’s fitted button-up in style and fit.
For my first round at this pattern I used a 1.2m remnant from the local fabric shop and made short sleeves, I think it’s some kind of shirting with some stretch in it. I did make some changes to the pattern already, I lowered the fullest part about an inch, so it would match the proper place, and I made a FBA of 1,5cm and a sway back adjustment of an inch. I’m pretty chuffed with the result, granted there are still some bad fit wrinkles on the back, and some extra ease at the shoulders but I can live with it. Another small problem is that the waist isn’t were it should be, but that’s an easy enough change to make next time.
I love the yoke triangular shape, it is a really nice touch, even though it is quite hard to do. The princess seams are finished with mock flat felled seams and for the sleeve insertion and side seams I used french seams so the shirt would look clean on the inside. I made short sleeves to make it Summer appropriate (and because that’s what I could do with a meter of fabric) and drafted a cuff so the raw edges would be all caught and pretty on the inside.
