Pink dress of dreams

A review of Fibre Mood Ivory Dress

My Ivory dress is made in lightweight linen. There’s enough fabric in the dress that the lightweight is no issue. No problems with the pattern drafting, and no real fitting required as there’s no bust dart. I love that the 8-panel skirt feels really luxurious. I wear this dress a lot and it’s ideal for spring, enough cover up to be a little bit and be warm but the wind will go through it.

This is not the easiest make, but it comes together with patience. Because there’s a lot going on!

  • Shirt collar with collar stand
  • Set in sleeves
  • 8 panel skirt with topstitching
  • Belt & belt loops
  • Sleeve cuffs with buttons
  • Feature front and back yoke (both shaped)

My suggestion would be to check the cuff piece against the size of your wrist. If you don’t want to be undoing 6 buttons on the sleeve cuffs every time you put it on, then it would be worth making them bigger. That’s the only modification… well maybe side seam pockets. And give yourself a lot of time!
