A review of Paper Theory Patterns Zadie Jumpsuit

I chose this pattern and relatively expensive fabric for an advanced beginner sewing course. It was fairly straightforward to make apart from the bias binding – the seam allowance was small and the teacher advised against using the pieces as specified. So I jazzed it up with a ready bias binding in a contrast colour.

I suspect that much of the misfitting is my lack of experience, but overall, it is very large and looks like a cross between a dressing gown and martial arts gear. The pockets are magnificent. But the front is far too low. An empire waistline would have been better – dealt with the neckline and made it look less sack like at the waist. I’m not sure if I’ll actual wear this but it’s too securely stitched to take it apart!!
