Nikki’s Carolyn Pajama Set

A review of Closet Core Patterns Carolyn Pajamas

The Carolyn Pajama has been on my To-Do list for a very long time, but somehow I never quite managed to get around to them.  As lockdown started I wanted to make something that took some time and this was the perfect pattern.

I made the short-sleeved PJ top and the shorts version of the pajamas and added all the piping I could!

The pattern is a nice, modern fit, not too oversized but still comfortable to wear in bed or just around the house.  The instructions from Closet Case Patterns were brilliant, as always.  They take each step slowly enough for anyone to understand and I love the fact that they often have back up sew-along and blog posts to help you if you need it.

I used a simple crisp cotton from my stash for the pj’s and chose to use a satin bias binding for the piping and on the inside seams.  These PJ’s are one of a kind, so it’s worth spending the extra time to make them special.
