My gingham dress of dreams

I made this in View A, but with View B’s skirt (I didn’t have quite enough fabric – the troubles with ordering without a goal pattern!). I made it in a size C, but with a full bust adjustment (my measurements are B: 36″, W:26″, H:37″) and it fits like a dream.

It was a dream to make, with lots of fun details like the slightly gather sleeves and back bodice, and the sleeve plackets and cuffs. The instructions were very comprehensive with lots of good diagrams – I’m a competent beginner, and didn’t need to refer to youtube for help once!

I decided to make the sleeves elbow length, and length the cuff to have an overlap where the buttonhole was.

I couldn’t recommend this dress more – I made it last weekend and have worn it 4 times since!!
