Hello to my 2021 Day Dress.
Each year since I first made this dress, I have made myself another every Summer, and this year’s version is such a happy dress don’t you think?
The day dress is a classic. Featuring a fitted bodice with bust and waist darts, gently gathered waist, inseam pockets and a zip running down the centre back, it’s probably a pattern for someone who has a bit of sewing experience ‘under their belt’.
The design is simple and elegant which I think is why I reach for this pattern every year. It’s my ‘tried and tested’ dress pattern and makes me feel special every time I wear it.
The fabric that I have used for this project is a sunflower print cotton poplin from Minerva.com and I would like to be clear that this fabric was gifted to me in exchange for a review on their site which you can view here
