I made the London dress out of this gorgeous viscose. Following my measurements I graded from a 14 bust to a 16 at the waist, with no other alterations.
The dress has beautiful (and easy to insert!) raglan sleeves with a lovely flutter shape. I really like the keyhole neckline, and would choose a more stable fabric next time to really show it off. I chose to sew the full darts on the bodice as I prefer a closer fit, and like how they flow into the box pleats in the skirt.
The only change I made to the pattern was to add pockets – I couldn’t resist using a London printed fabric!
The instructions are very clear! I think a confident beginner could definitely tackle this.
I’ve also made the skirt version in a beautiful swishy viscose twill. I absolutely adore the curved detail on the waistband! Very simple and quick to sew.
