Likey Lykke – Tessa Roosa

I bought this pattern after seeing it on the Sew Down. I love the shape of the balloon sleeves and it’s a blouse without buttons! I’m not a fan of buttons and wanted a woven fabric.

I chose to use the seersucker cotton from Fabric Godmother. It’s a beautiful colour and the pattern on it is gorgeous. It has enough structure to hold the balloon sleeves nicely too.

I made a toile first. It is very roomy and the 12 felt quite big. I did the usual bust and sway back adjustment and took an inch off the back seam. It still has plenty of room to get it over my head with ease.

I prepared the pattern and bias binding before hand, after that it took me about two and a half hours to complete. Really easy.  I used rainbow thread on my coverstitch matching… see my Instagram @sewn_away_

I have worn it lots and get compliments when I do. I will definitely be making another!
